How to Diagnose Evil Eye at Home (Step-By-Step Guide)

How to Diagnose Evil Eye at Home (Step-By-Step Guide)

We often feel "off" sudden exhaustion, unexpected obstacles in life, or unexplainable aches. Is it just stress, or could it be The Evil Eye (Al-Ayn)?

In Islam, you do not need to rely on strangers or dubious healers to tell you if you are afflicted. The most powerful Raqi (one who performs healing) for you is yourself. Self-diagnosis is not only permitted; it is a Sunnah that empowers you to take charge of your spiritual health.

At Sunnah Diagnostic, we have compiled a simple, authentic step-by-step guide to help you perform a "diagnostic session" at home.

Step 1: Preparation (Spiritual Hygiene)

Before you begin, you must create an environment that invites the Angels and repels the Shayateen (devils).

  1. Purify Yourself: Perform a fresh Wudu (ablution).

  2. Purify the Space: Choose a quiet room. Remove any images of animate beings (statues, photos on walls) and ensure there is no music playing.

  3. Set Your Intention (Niyyah): In your heart, make a sincere intention: "O Allah, I am reciting Your words to seek Your cure and to reveal any harm affecting me."

  4. Protection: It is highly recommended to have Black Seed Oil or Olive Oil nearby (available in our shop) to apply immediately if you react.

Step 2: The Diagnostic Session (The Recitation)

The "test" involves reciting specific verses of the Quran with deep focus (Khushoo). These verses are powerful and burn away spiritual impurities. If there is a spiritual ailment, your body will react to them.

Sit facing the Qiblah and recite the following loudly and slowly:

  1. Surah Al-Fatiha: Recite this 7 times. This is the most critical part of the diagnosis. Focus on the meaning of every verse.

  2. Ayatul Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255): Recite 3 times.

  3. The 3 Quls (Ikhlas, Falaq, Naas): Recite each one 3 times.

  4. The Prophetic Dua: Recite 3 times:

"A'udhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min sharri ma khalaq" (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created).

Note: If you struggle to recite, you may listen to a "Ruqyah for Evil Eye" audio track with headphones, but reciting it yourself is always stronger.

Step 3: Interpreting the Signs (The Results)

As you recite, pay close attention to your body. Spiritual ailments often manifest physically when exposed to the Quran.

Signs of Evil Eye (Al-Ayn): If you experience these specific symptoms during the recitation, it is a strong indication of Evil Eye:

  • Uncontrollable Yawning: Especially if it is deep, repetitive, and accompanied by tearing eyes.

  • Watering Eyes: Tears flowing without feeling sad.

  • Heat or Cold: Sudden waves of heat (hot flashes) or shivering, particularly in the hands and feet.

  • Heaviness: Feeling like a weight has been placed on your shoulders, head, or eyebrows.

  • Numbness/Tingling: Pins and needles in the arms or legs.

  • Deep Sighing: Feeling a need to take deep breaths or feeling tightness in the chest.

Signs vs. Normal Fatigue: If you just feel sleepy, that might be natural tiredness. But if the yawning is painful, excessive, or stops immediately after you finish reciting, it is spiritual.

Step 4: Immediate Treatment Plan

If you reacted to the diagnosis, do not panic. The remedy is simple and consistent.

  1. Ruqyah Water:

    • Take a bottle of water.

    • Recite Surah Al-Fatiha, Ayatul Kursi, and the 3 Quls into it (bringing your mouth close so your breath hits the water).

    • Drink this water throughout the day.

    • Bathe with it (pour it over your body) once a day for 7 days.

  2. Sunnah Oils:

    • Recite the same verses over Black Seed Oil or Olive Oil.

    • Massage the oil onto your body before sleeping, focusing on the forehead, chest, and any painful areas.

  3. Daily Adhkar:

    • The Evil Eye acts like an arrow; your Adhkar (morning and evening supplications) are your armor. Never skip them.
