Ruqyah for Kids: A Gentle, Daily Routine to Protect Them from Evil Eye
You send your child to school in London, Paris, or Birmingham, and you worry. Not just about their grades or friends, but about the unseen.
In the UK and Europe, we are raising our children in environments often devoid of daily Dhikr. They are exposed to hundreds of strangers, competitive school environments, and social media—all hotbeds for Al-Ayn (Evil Eye) and Hasad (Envy).
You might notice your child is suddenly cranky, has inexplicable night terrors, refuses to eat, or falls sick constantly despite doctors saying they are fine. These can be signs of spiritual vulnerability.
As a parent, you are their first line of defense. But Ruqyah doesn’t have to be scary or intense. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us a gentle, loving way to protect our children daily.
At Sunnah Diagnostic, we help Muslim parents navigate these challenges. Here is a simple, 5-minute Sunnah routine to build a spiritual fortress around your child every day.
Why Children Need Daily Ruqyah
Children are spiritually pure (Fitrah), making them more sensitive to the unseen world. They are also magnets for attention. A stranger admiring their curls in the supermarket, or a relative praising their intelligence without saying "Masha'Allah," can unintentionally harm them. Since young children cannot recite protective Adhkar themselves, the responsibility falls on the parent to be their shield.
The 5-Minute Gentle Routine (Morning & Evening)
This routine is based on the authentic actions of the Prophet (saw) with his grandchildren, Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn. It is quick, calming, and builds a beautiful bond with your child.
Step 1: The "Protective Touch" (Recitation)
-
Time: Do this before they leave for school in the morning, and right before they sleep at night.
-
Action: Place your right hand gently on your child’s head or chest.
-
Recite with Focus:
-
Surah Al-Fatiha (Once)
-
Ayatul Kursi (Once)
-
The 3 Quls (Ikhlas, Falaq, Naas) – (3 times each)
-
The Prophetic Dua: "U’eethuka bi kalimatillaahit-taammaati min kulli shaytaanin wa haammah, wa min kulli ‘aynin laammah." (I seek refuge for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and poisonous pest, and from every evil, envious eye).
-
Step 2: The "Nafath" (Blowing)
After finishing the recitation, gently blow (a dry spit/breath) onto your child's head and chest. This transfers the blessing (Barakah) of the Quran from your breath to them.
Step 3: The "Sunnah Shield" (Olive Oil Massage)
If your child is particularly unsettled, prone to nightmares, or has eczema/skin issues:
-
Action: Before bed, take a small amount of Sunnah Diagnostic Ruqyah Olive Oil.
-
Apply: Gently massage it onto their chest, back, and forehead while reciting the 3 Quls.
-
Why: The Shayateen hate the blessed oil, and it creates a physical barrier on the skin that protects them while they sleep.
Step 4: The "Morning Boost" (Dates & Honey)
Protect them from the inside out before they face the day.
-
Action: Give them 7 Ajwa Dates (or as many as they can eat) for breakfast. The Prophet (saw) said this protects from magic and poison for the day.
-
Alternative: A spoonful of Raw Honey—the Quranic "healing for mankind"—is excellent for boosting immunity in the cold UK weather.
Making it a Habit, Not a Chore
-
Keep it Calm: Your tone should be loving and soothing, not fearful. Let your child associate Ruqyah with comfort and safety.
-
Involve Them: As they get older, teach them to recite the 3 Quls with you.
Protect Their Innocence
Your child’s spiritual health is just as important as their physical health. By investing five minutes a day, you give them the ultimate protection: the words of Allah.
At Sunnah Diagnostic, we provide the authentic, high-quality Ajwa Dates, Raw Honey, and Ruqyah Oils you need for your family's daily protection. We ship quickly across the UK and Europe.
